Artificial intelligence is reshaping the way the world thinks and transforming industrial models. Guided by the core philosophy of “Human-Centered, Technology for Good, and Intelligence in Action,” Fo Guang University has established the Bachelor's Program in Artificial Intelligence Technology and Application (AITA) to create an innovative learning environment that integrates the humanities and technology.

This program focuses on AI core technologies × data science × intelligent systems × industrial applications. Through interdisciplinary courses, hands-on projects, and industry-academia collaboration, students will develop the professional competencies needed to thrive in the AI era.

1. Cultivate AI expertise with equal emphasis on technology and application
The program emphasizes core AI technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, data science, and intelligent system design, while also integrating application domains such as culture, tourism, education, healthcare, and business. This enables students to transform technical knowledge into practical capabilities.

2. Build interdisciplinary integration and innovation capabilities
The curriculum covers AI technology modules, data analytics modules, application modules, and interdisciplinary innovation modules, helping students develop dual-track competencies in “AI × domain expertise” and equipping them to propose innovative solutions in cross-disciplinary contexts.

3. Foster practice-oriented learning with strong industry connections
Industry-academia collaboration is at the heart of this program. In the junior year, students undertake AI project-based practice based on real-world challenges provided by industry partners. In the senior year, they participate in industry internships with deep engagement in real projects. As a result, students graduate with hands-on experience and practical professional skills.
